IDF says Israel will show Iran its 'offensive capabilities'
Israel will respond in a timely manner to the Iranian missile attack and demonstrate its “precise and unexpected” offensive capabilities as soon as such an order comes from the “political echelon,” the IDF press service reports.
“We have proven our ability to deny the enemy success through a combination of exemplary civilian conduct and very strong air defense,” the Army said.
IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi convened an operational meeting in Tel Aviv after Iran's massive missile attack on Israel.
On the evening of October 1, Iran launched a missile attack on Israel in response to the killing of the leaders of Hamas and Hezbollah, as well as the deputy head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
The Israeli army has threatened that an Iranian attack will have consequences.
