President Macron Insists on Modern Stained Glass Windows at Notre Dame
French President Emmanuel Macron has insisted on modern stained glass windows for Notre Dame Cathedral, which was damaged by fire.
This was reported by the CNEWS TV channel.
According to TASS, we are talking about stained glass windows that were not damaged during the 2019 fire and are formally protected cultural heritage sites.
It is emphasized that in July, a negative conclusion was issued by the National Committee for Heritage and Architecture on the issue of installing modern stained glass windows.
The Notre Dame fire occurred on April 5, 2019.
Previously, restorers in France installed a spire for Notre Dame Cathedral. It is completely identical to the one that adorned the temple before the fire in 2019.
