Romanian Defense Ministry reports discovery of UAV wreckage near Ukrainian border

The Romanian Defense Ministry reports the discovery of wreckage of an alleged Russian drone near the border with Ukraine.

“Groups of Defense Ministry employees, in cooperation with specialists from the Romanian Information Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, examined the area around the settlement of Periprava in Tulcea County, where they discovered fragments of a Russian-made UAV, which will be examined in accordance with legal procedures,” RIA Novosti quotes the statement as saying.

In addition, the department reported that searches were being conducted in the area of ​​the settlement of Karaorman, “from where signals were received about another possible impact zone.”

It is specified that the drone fell in a swampy area and did not cause any damage.

Earlier, Romania scrambled F-16 fighter jets due to a drone that flew in from Ukraine.
