Russia's participation in the Ukraine peace conference will be necessary, but it is not for the EU to decide when to invite Moscow's representatives.
This was stated by the representative of the EU foreign policy service, Peter Stano, at a press conference in Brussels.
“Russia's participation will be necessary. Whether the time has come for this is for the organizers to decide,” TASS reports him as saying.
Earlier, President Vladimir Putin said that Russia's opponents could enter into peace talks after the failure of the Ukrainian provocation in the Kursk region.
