Zelensky commented on the Russian offensive in the Kursk region. What's happening to the Ukrainian Armed Forces?

The Russian army tried to push back the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kursk region, Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky said.

As the Strana publication notes, in the Kursk region, Russian troops managed to advance “on the left flank of the Ukrainian bridgehead,” which threatened the encirclement of part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Ukrainian troops invaded the Kursk region on the morning of August 6, and fighting is still ongoing in the border area. On the evening of September 10, it became known that Russian troops had launched a large-scale counteroffensive in the border area.

The commander of the Akhmat special forces, Apti Alaudinov, announced the liberation of 19 settlements in the Kursk region. According to him, the Kursk direction is actively moving forward.

He also said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces tried to attack the Belgorod region, but their attack was successfully repulsed by the Russian Armed Forces. “They tried to break through in one area, to approach with small forces, but they were so cut off and beaten that they, who remained alive, returned back,” the officer specified.

On October 11, Alaudinov announced panic in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region and the withdrawal of equipment. According to him, Ukrainian troops are losing serious areas every day.

In the Kursk region, 70 percent of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ equipment was destroyed, noted the commander of the Akhmat special forces. According to him, Ukrainian troops have collected “such serious resources that they have never collected in all three years in order to specifically strike in one direction.”

According to the Russian general, the Ukrainian Armed Forces entered Russian territory with more than 200 tanks and 400 armored vehicles. The general also noted that Ukraine’s military resources are depleted, including in terms of the quantity and quality of soldiers.

The general believes that the Ukrainian conflict will end in 2024. According to him, this will be facilitated by elections in the United States and events in the Middle East. He added that the very state of Ukraine will bring it closer to ending the conflict. The officer called the demographic situation in the country a terrible disaster.
