Knoxville neighborhood urged to evacuate after dynamite found

KNOXVILLE, Tennessee: After the discovery of dynamite in a container at a recycling business, authorities asked the neighborhood of a Tennessee city to evacuate.
However, foul play was not suspected.
The Knoxville Police Department said employees of CMC Recycling discovered a steel box with suspected dynamite.
The bomb squad assessed the scene with a drone but could not identify the contents of the box with certainty. However, bomb squad technicians believe the box contained explosives.
The company’s website said it provides metal recycling services for industrial clients and members of the public.
Authorities said the situation would likely not be resolved until Friday. The Fire Department said an evacuation was not ordered but recommended.
