Kate Middleton has suddenly recovered from cancer, but not everyone believes it. Why does the palace not want to admit that she is healthy?
Princess of Wales Kate Middleton has completed chemotherapy treatment for cancer, she announced in a lengthy post on social media. She is now expected to make more public appearances and return to work as a senior member of the royal family. However, her recovery has not been officially confirmed.
Kate Middleton announced on social media that she has completed chemotherapy
On Monday, September 9, Middleton published a long post on social media, in which she talked about her battle with cancer and her immediate plans. The post was illustrated by a video of her happy family life: in professionally filmed footage, she is walking in the woods with Prince William and her children. When exactly this walk took place is not specified.
Middleton says the past nine months have been incredibly difficult for her and her immediate family. “Life as you know it can change in an instant, leaving you to navigate stormy seas and unknown roads,” she writes.
It's only halfway through the post that Middleton explains why she decided to reach out to her readers. She says that her chemotherapy is over and she's healthy enough to be seen in public more often.
Doing everything I can to prevent the cancer from coming back is now my top priority. Although chemotherapy is over, I still have a long road ahead to healing and full recovery.

While Middleton doesn't say outright that she has beaten cancer, it's implied by her line about trying to avoid the disease coming back. The disease can only come back if it's not there now.
Middleton will join the king in attending Remembrance Day in November
Middleton promised that she would soon return to work as a senior member of the British royal family and take part in several public events.
I will continue to take each day as it comes, without worrying about the future. However, I am looking forward to returning to work and will be taking part in a few public events in the coming months as soon as I can.

While the post does not reveal Middleton's plans, the British press has learned that she will be attending events to mark Remembrance Day, a day of remembrance observed in the UK every November. The princess is expected to join King Charles III for a vigil at London's Cenotaph, a memorial to the end of World War I.
Middleton may then appear in public at the end of December. The Daily Beast writes that preparations are underway for her to attend a Christmas service at Westminster Abbey. This service is usually broadcast on television.
At the same time, Daily Beast sources claim that she will not be traveling to South Africa with her husband. Prince William is traveling to the South African city of Cape Town in early November to attend the Earthshot awards ceremony.

The news that Kate Middleton's treatment has ended came as a surprise to experts on British royal affairs. For less than a month, anonymous court sources had been insisting that there were no plans for her to return to her previous work schedule.
Courtiers are also warning against jumping to conclusions. Kensington Palace has hinted that it is impossible to say for sure at this point that the cancer has truly gone away.
On June 15, Kate Middleton made her first public appearance since her illness: she took part in the Trooping the Colour parade held to celebrate the birthday of King Charles III. However, just a month later, it was announced that she would miss the Out-Sourching Inc Royal Polo Tournament, where her husband, Prince William, would be competing, due to chemotherapy.
Middleton's second public appearance came in July, when she was spotted in the royal box at the Wimbledon tennis final in London. She was accompanied by her daughter, Princess Charlotte, and younger sister, Pippa Middleton. Before going into the box, they met several players, including British tennis player Emma Raducanu, who presented the Princess of Wales with a bouquet of flowers.
From her box, Kate Middleton waved to other tournament spectators, who responded with applause. A lip-reading expert said that when Middleton heard the crowd cheer, she said: “So sweet.”

Kate Middleton stopped appearing in public in December 2023. Her absence was initially attributed to an unexpected abdominal operation she underwent in January 2024. By March, Kate's prolonged silence had sparked numerous conspiracy theories. Some said she was gravely ill. Others said Kate had discovered Prince William's mistress and demanded a divorce.
In the end, Kate Middleton had to make a video statement and admit that she had been diagnosed with a malignant tumor. After that, she again went silent for a long time. Her diagnosis and the end date of her treatment were not specified.
The British tabloid Daily Mail, citing anonymous sources, claimed that Middleton had fallen seriously ill long before her surgery in January. Despite her worsening health, her illness was initially hidden from the public. And during her January surgery, it became clear that she was suffering from cancer. Chemotherapy began in February.
