Premier League: Tottenham thrashes Ipswich 4-1; Wolves, Palace secure full points on the road

Tottenham Hotspur winger Brennan Johnson scored twice in the first half before goals from Djed Spence and Dejan Kulusevski wrapped up a 4-1 win at relegation-threatened Ipswich Town in the Premier League on Saturday.
Johnson’s double came after the hosts had twice threatened to open the scoring early on through Liam Delap, whose glancing header hit the post. Ipswich forward Omari Hutchinson got one back before halftime but Spurs were not to be denied.
The home side battled hard for an equaliser but never created any clear openings and Tottenham went further ahead with a deflected Spence shot after 77 minutes and a fine individual goal from Kulusevski in the 84th.
The win left Spurs in 12th spot with 33 points from 26 games, while Ipswich remained third from bottom on 17, now five points adrift of the safety zone after Wolverhampton Wanderers won 1-0 at high-flying Bournemouth.
Wolves win at 10-man Bournemouth to pull away from relegation zone
Matheus Cunha’s 14th Premier League goal of the season earned Wolverhampton Wanderers a 1-0 win over 10-man Bournemouth on Saturday, pulling Vitor Pereira’s side five points clear of the relegation zone.
Bournemouth’s fourth home league loss of the season came about after it was reduced to 10 men when defender Illia Zabarnyi made a reckless challenge to get sent off in the 31st minute.

The hosts were made to pay five minutes later when defenders Dean Huijsen and James Hill made a mess of clearing a cross and the ball fell at Cunha’s feet, with the Brazilian lifting his shot over onrushing goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Wolves took their foot off the gas after the break and failed to add to their tally due to a combination of poor finishing and some resolute defending by Bournemouth.
Crystal Palace down shot-shy Fulham 2-0
A first-half own goal by Fulham defender Joachim Andersen and a second-half rocket from Daniel Munoz gave Crystal Palace a 2-0 Premier League win away to the Cottagers on Saturday, with the home side failing to register a shot on target.
Danish centre-back Andersen, who spent a three-year spell at Palace before joining Fulham for a second spell in August last year, unwittingly headed the ball into his own net from a corner eight minutes before the break.

Palace defended superbly throughout, snuffing out the spaces Fulham wanted to play in, and it had a Jean-Philippe Mateta goal ruled out for offside in the 55th minute before Munoz finished a counterattack with a thunderous strike into the top corner 11 minutes later to wrap up the three points.
The defeat sees Fulham slip to ninth in the table on 39 points, while a fourth successive away win left the Palace fans singing about another three points on their travels as their side moved to 33 points and 13th spot in the standings.
