Ivoire, France

Kangaroo island, Australia

The fortress of Buranj, the Netherlands
The Budanzh fortress, or the “star fortress”, is located in the Netherlands. It was built in the period of the eighty years of war, when the country fought for independence from the Spanish Empire. Architects came up with a new type of fortification to protect against artillery. After the war, the bastion was abandoned, then it was again strengthened and expanded, and since the 19th century, Budanzh belongs to the local community. The tour of the bastion will be very cognitive, moreover, there are beautiful landscapes.
Albarrasin, Spain
The philosopher Ortega-i-Gasset wrote that this city has a fabulous silhouette. And Albarrasin is often called a “pink city.” The settlement received a beautiful name under Muslims (IX – XII centuries).
Everything is fine here: the old winding streets, and the mountains of Sierra de albarrasin, and green meadows, and rivers. Here you can also see an 18-kilometer aqueduct, which was built under the Romans. Walking along the grocery, you quietly plunge into the Spanish flavor of past centuries.
Devonshire, England
Devon is a picturesque county in England, washed by the Bay Bay and La Channel. Once there was Dumnonia that the Celtic people inhabited. In the bays of Devona there are resorts, fishing villages and ports.
It was in the girl that the great sailors of Sir Francis Drake and Walter Reilly, as well as the “queen of detectives” Agatha Christie, were born. And the events described in the book of A.K. Doyle “Baskerville Dog” also occur in Devon. Hockey island, Japan
If you come to Japan, do not forget to visit Hokkaido Island. Here, perfectionists of the Japanese created many places that give the guests vivid impressions: Terrace Unkai on the top of the mountain, a marvelous aroma and colorful lavender fields, ski slopes and a blue lake. And you can also see an incredibly charming animal – Edzo Momong, which lives only here. And undoubtedly, you will be surprised by the synthesis of respect for nature and modern technologies.
Monsanto, Portugal
Monsanto’s colorful town hid among granite boulders. The panorama opens amazing: mountains, herbs, tiled roofs, stone streets. Monsanto once was the center of Beira-Baysh.
Over the eight centuries, the local landscape has changed little, so the town in 1938 was recognized as the “Portuguese village.” Wandering here is a pleasure, and you can enjoy traditional dishes in a restaurant located under a giant stone.
Feathered canyon, Iceland
Canyon Fjadrargleufur in the southeast of Iceland is an incredible creation of nature. From the pristine landscapes of this country, it is simply breathtaking. The Canyon of the Fjadra River was formed after the ice age. Its length is about 2 km, and the depth is about 100 m. You will find not just a walk along the river bank, but a real adventure!
Albrobello, Italy
Miniature Albrobello is full of charm. His wonderful trolli houses immediately conquer the hearts of travelers. About one and a half thousand magic houses with cone -shaped roofs were built here. By the way, many of them are already more than 7 centuries. The city is named after the forest that has once grown nearby – Arboris Belli (“Beautiful Trees”). The world of provincial Italy will open before you in this unusual town, filled with sunlight and decorated with inspired masters.
Book Alley, Ireland
Dark Alley (Dark Hedges) is an unusual place. It is located near the village of Armma in Northern Ireland. This amazing “bean avenue” was planted by the Stewart family of the 3rd century ago. Their plan was to impress all those entering the estate, which today is a golf club. And also, according to the ancient legend, under ancient trees you can meet the ghost of a certain gray lady … Local residents value traditions and adore riddles.
Kandan, Iran
The village of Kandovan from afar is similar to a giant anthill. About a thousand people live in houses created in rocky rocks. But the ancient type of settlement should not mislead you: local residents have long been familiar with modern comfort. A bizarre relief was formed in the ancient centuries during the eruption of the Sakhand volcano. By the way, the literal translation of the name of the settlement is “bee hives”. Once here, you will certainly feel like the heroes of the Persian fairy tale.
Hobbiton, New Zealand
The fantasy village was created on a sheep farm in one year with the efforts of 400 people for the filming of the famous Lord of the Rings.
After finishing work on the film, the village was empty for a while. But soon all the fans of the work began to come here to see the holes of the hobbits, the green dragon, the arched bridge, the mill and other colorful objects embodied in reality.
Lake Titicaca, Peru/Bolivia
For local residents, Lake Titikaka is sacred. Its name in Indians means “mountain puma.” According to scientists, the lake for millions of years ago was the ancient sea: in its waters, sea fish, crustaceans and even sharks are still swimming, and traces of the surf were preserved on the slopes of the mountains. About 300 rivers flows into Titikaka. And on the lake you can see unusual floating islands from reed, populated by the Uru Indians. The way of life in these mobile settlements over the past century has not changed much. It will even seem to you that you made a time travel.
Gastelugache island, Spain
The island of San Juan de Gastelugache is located off the shores of the Bay of the Bay. It is connected to the mainland by a narrow label trail of 237 steps. On the island there is a monastery, which is already about 11 centuries. A marvelous panorama of Gastugulache is remembered forever, and the spray of azure waves and a fresh wind fill everyone who has visited here with special energy.
Shefshawan, Morocco
The Blue Town, Shefshawan spreads on the slopes of the Rifa Mountains. Everything is pleasing to the eye: beautiful landscapes, ancient architecture, creations of art. But still, the most important attraction is a marvelous color! The shades of blue vary from light blue to a saturated azure. Once in this Moroccan city, you will constantly make wishes. After all, this is a real oriental fairy tale!
